On the 5th of December 2008, following Dreier’s arrest on suspicion of involvement in a fabricated scheme to sell $700 million worth of fictitious promissory note, Traub as well as others bankruptcy attorneys quit and relaunched Traub, Bonacquist & Fox. In February 2009 Epstein, Becker & Green, a firm that specializes on government contracting, welcomed seven members of the Traub/Dreier bankruptcy team to the firm’s New York office.
