Blind Fury is a 1989 American action film directed by Phillip Noyce and stars actors Rutger Hauer, Brandon Call, Terry O'Quinn, Lisa Blount, Randall "Tex" Cobb, and Noble Willingham. Charles Robert Carner's screenplay is a modern and loosely based remake of Zatoichi Chaesteded, the 17th film in the Japanese Zatoichi series. To date, it is the only feature film produced by Tim Matheson. The film follows Nick Parker, a blind veteran who holds a sword during the Vietnam War, returns to the United States and befriends the son of an old friend. Parker decides to help the boy find his father, who has been kidnapped by a large criminal organization.
